We are a single family who run sheep and cattle on a 66,000ha property in the Channel Country of Western Queensland and we're looking for some physical help with a cottage revamp project. It is structurally sound but needs some work so that we can utilize it for either a governess or station hand. Ideally we would love someone who has the enthusiasm and handyman/carpenter/builder skills to complete the job with our help whilst at the same time enjoying all that our area has to offer
We live in a fantastic part of Qld, would like someone asap but are flexible with timing, have lots of room to accommodate a volunteer/s, can provide meat, have minimal dirt road, lots of fishing/yabby spots, are well serviced by town and would absolutely make your time with us enjoyable! If you are a traveler, there are lots of events around the area that you may be interested too.
JOB DETAILS:
Solid fair condition cottage with kitchen, bathroom and several internal rooms that hasn't been lived in for 10 years
A rough list of things that need to be done include:
- general maintenance
- remove lino flooring +/- add other flooring
- complete internal paint areas that need it
- tidy up yard and fence around the outside of Cottage
- remove old water tank
- sheet an internal wall to make an extra room
- bathroom (time will tell what needs to be done there but hopefully it's minimal!)
Accommodation Options:
* self contained shearers quarters (bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom)
* ample room for caravans/campers with waterfront views
