Gardening/Handyman Work Exchange Opportunity – South West QLD
To travellers reconsidering plans due to rising fuel costs this year or those wishing to lend a helping hand — how about a change of scenery and a peaceful place to park up for a while?
We are located on a south-western Queensland property that was affected by the 2025 flood events and are seeking help through an in exchange for assistance arrangement.
Gardening Assistance:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate gardener to help care for and maintain station gardens for approximately 1-3 hours per day.
What We Offer:
In exchange for assistance, we provide:
* A free campsite beside a private freshwater lake
* Access to an ablution block
* Free electricity
* Within close proximity to a small township (small supermarket, pub, post office, newsagent, butcher, hospital, weekly air services)
Carpentry / Handyman Work:
There is also work available for an experienced carpenter or handyman to assist with internal repairs to flood-affected buildings (including shearers’ quarters and sheds).
Ideal Applicants:
This opportunity would suit a couple, ideally with a gardener / carpenter combination.
Length of stay is negotiable for the right people.
As this is a working station please note no large dogs allowed.
