Farm Hand/s
Hi I’m a single beef farmer who unfortunately works full time off farm at a local charity to pay for the farm bills and keep myself afloat during the past 8 years which I have experienced drought, bushfires, floods and crippling low prices for stock. My 94 year old mother still lives on the property plus my daughter.
I unfortunately are now dealing with the recent storm with brought down many trees on my farm.
sooooo lots of bonfire building, firewood cutting and when restrictions lift bonfires. Also lots of cleaning up around trees i’ve planted in windbreaks, planting trees if weather is right. Feeding cattle (tractor) slashing/harrowing paddocks, light/small fencing jobs, small maintenance jobs just the ones on my list that never seem to be able to get to.
Close to some wonderful breaches mountains rivers and lakes, lots to do, Have a very small house but there is a spare bed or there is a place to park caravan. No shooting on property due to close proximity to town. I have met some wonderful people on Farm Army and hoping to meet some more as not only the physical work helps me but the emotional support of knowing people care about farmers helps my mental well-being.
