Farm stay / sit
We are looking for house / farm sitters to stay while we take a well earned break from our farm.
Our property is 320 acres and mostly used for cattle production. The farm itself is mostly self sustaining, the cattle have access to feed and water at all times. There is no need to manage cattle other than checking them over occasionally.
Our main need is for someone to take care of the more domesticated animals, such as our loving dog Poppy (KelpieXBorderCollie), our crazy but cute kitten, Ninja, our budgie Cooper, and our flock of chickens.
We have a large house with 6 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms that you are welcome to stay in, or otherwise if you have your own accommodation, there is plenty of room to park near the house to use our facilities.
The property has 800m of river frontage on the Pappinbarra river, which is clear and pebble bottomed, and incredibly refreshing for a swim (particularly in winter if you're brave enough).
A vehicle to access our property will be provided so there is no need to have 4WD or such to cross the river.
As with any farm, things can occasionally go awry so being a bit handy and able to sort out broken fences, pumps that are playing up or whatever is particularly useful.
The property is 17km from Wauchope on the mid north coast of NSW, and a forty minute drive to beaches at Port Macquarie. There is plenty to do in the local area if you haven't ventured here before.
