Farm sitters wanted - Yangan Qld (Near Warwick) Dates negotiable from the 15th December into January for about 8-10 days
Single or couple required to farm sit on our beautiful property at Yangan Qld about 20 minutes from Warwick. We are planning travel interstate to visit family and take a well earned break after what has been a tough year.
Duties would include:-
Sheep - morning feeds and letting out, locking in at night, checking water troughs and electric fence lines are working daily
Cattle - morning feed out of molasses
General animal care and keeping an eye on the stock, calling vet if necessary and looking after the animals
We have two kelpies which are our site supervisors/sheep whisperers and they would need feeding of a night time.
We are on the market so mowing and keeping the place tidy would be appreciated (ride on and brushcutter supplied).
You are welcome to stay in the house or if you are caravanning you can hook up to the power/internet and use the facilities as you need to - either is fine. We do request no other dogs on farm thanks. You will need your own vehicle and it would be helpful if you have experience riding a quad bike but not essential.
If you are interested in doing some day tripping while you are here, our place is with an hour from Stanthorpe wineries and Killarney Falls and Leslie Dam.
