A farmer roughly an hour north of Bundaberg is doing it tough after a serious accident left him with two broken legs and months of slow recovery. With limited mobility and regular hospital visits, he’s could use a hand to care for his animals and keep the farm ticking over.

This small property is home to 50 head of cattle, 25 sheep, chickens, and four very friendly dogs. While the cattle are mostly low-maintenance right now, the fences and water need checking, and the other animals need feeding.

We’re looking for someone with farm experience who can work independently as this farmer simply isn’t in a position to train someone up.

Power and water can be provided for anyone self-contained (caravan or camper welcome).

Coming up: The farmer is also awaiting surgery, which will require a 6-week hospital stay. During this time, you’d be welcome to stay in the farmhouse - though keep in mind, the dogs live inside and will be your loyal housemates.

If you’ve got the skills and a bit of spare time, we’d love to hear from you. Your help could make all the difference.
