A farmer located in Coleraine, Victoria who has previously lost their partner is looking for some practical assistance around the property. Over time, a number of items have accumulated, and they would appreciate support to gradually work through what can be repaired, sold, donated or taken to scrap.
This is not urgent or high-pressure work - just steady, practical help at a comfortable pace. It would particularly suit an older grey nomad couple who are practical, patient and happy to lend a hand. The farmer is very flexible, and there is absolutely no expectation of full-time hours- a few hours a day would be appreciated.
Tasks may include:
• Sorting and decluttering sheds and household items
• Identifying items to repair, scrap, sell or donate
• General clean-up around the property
• Continued fire recovery clean-up (a fire passed through several years ago and some areas still need attention)
• For anyone mechanically minded - looking over an older tractor and a few vehicles that have been sitting idle to determine whether they’re repairable
Accommodation & Meals:
• A room is available in the house
• Meals can be provided
• A self-contained set-up (caravan or motorhome) may be most suitable, as toilet facilities are currently outdoor only
