A mixed farming family near Oakey is looking for a helping hand to assist with preparing land for an upcoming watermelon crop.
After missing much of the recent rainfall in the region, the property has been doing it tough over the past couple of years, and a bit of extra support would go a long way.
🗓 Start: Late April
⏰ Time commitment: Flexible – a couple of hours a day is greatly appreciated
📍 Location: Near Oakey, QLD
🚜 What’s involved:
Assisting with general ground preparation
Laying straw
Setting up irrigation piping
Supporting day-to-day farm prep tasks
The farm has machinery to handle the heavy lifting, so this role is suited to someone happy to lend a hand with lighter, practical jobs.
🏕 Accommodation:
Plenty of space for self-contained caravans or campers
A room may be available if needed
