We are seeking a couple for a caretaker position for our 40000 acre property located between Hughenden and Richmond Qld. situated on the Flinders Highway. Running approx 1800 head of mainly male cattle. Our Son has some breeders running with company females.
Two properties adjacent, and run as one.
Gavin (Son) has his home at Marathon South, He moves around a fair bit so when he is away and sometimes when he is home, will ask you about doing some chores.
The role will mostly include water runs, all of which are troughs and tanks connected by poly pipe and very easy maintaince. Repairs to fences if cattle are out on main highway and putting said cattle back off highway into paddock. May have to feed out lick if necessary. Feeding animals.
Water lawns and mow around house, most of the jobs are at the Marathon South House located approx 8km away.
Must have general farm hand knowledge. Vehicle will be supplied for station use.
Role is short term (3 months) but long term could be considered for the right people, (person)!
A 3 bedroom air conditioned house is provided along with power. It is partly furnished. Full mobibe coverage area and internet coverage is available through a satilite dish when connected. A large machinery shed at the house if you have a van or trailer for parking.
All tools and equipment stored at Marathon South for repairs and maintaince.
Pay negotiable with duties to be discussed.
Must be able to provide references.
