Help with Honey Locust tree removal
Casual - Paid
Farm Hands / Labourer
This Farmer is flexible with dates
Gunnedah, NSW
New South Wales
Following the 2022 floods, around 500 Honey Locust trees have propagated across one of our paddocks. The trees are now approximately 1–3 metres high, with trunks ranging from 5–20cm in diameter.
We’re looking for a fit and capable person to help remove the trees using the cut-stump method. The work involves cutting the trees close to ground level with a chainsaw, with herbicide then applied immediately by the farmer.
The work is expected to take place during March/April 2027 and may be for up to one week, depending on progress.
The successful person will:
- Be physically fit and comfortable with demanding outdoor work
- Be confident using a chainsaw
- Be comfortable with repetitive bending, cutting and getting up and down throughout the day
Ideally have their own chainsaw
The farmer will be onsite and responsible for applying the herbicide. They just need some help with the tree cutting.
This is a casual paid position and would suit someone who enjoys practical farm work and is comfortable with a physically demanding job.
