Caretaking / Farm Sitting

A friendly cattle property about 60km from Emerald is looking for a helping hand-or ideally a capable mature couple-with a bit of farm sense and good life experience.
There’s a comfortable cottage available, or you’re welcome to bring your own caravan and enjoy the space and quiet. Access is mostly sealed road, with the last 15km being dirt (currently in good condition).
This is a working cattle farm, so jobs may include:
• Lending a hand with mustering (if you’re able)
• General jobs around the homestead
• Watering gardens and mowing lawns
• Helping out around the house as needed
It’s a few hours a day, with the option to do a bit more during mustering when things pick up.
The property sits in the heart of the Sapphire, Rubyvale and Willows gem fields-perfect if you’d like to try your luck fossicking. Fairbairn Dam is about 80km away for fishing, and there are also waterholes on the property to enjoy.
The couple are getting on and would really value some extra support around the place. While not essential, if you’re comfortable driving, the occasional trip into Emerald for supplies or appointments would be a big help (fuel costs covered).
They’re looking for someone practical, easygoing, and happy to pitch in where needed. In return, you’ll get a peaceful place to stay, a bit of variety in your days, and good company along the way.
