We have a property at Birdwood west of Wauchope NSW, and have been in drought and have massively reduced rainfall this year/season. As we had some feed available here we have taken on a large number of cattle from severe drought country near Tamworth on our property, but to continue to keep them here we have to try and fence off the section of the property in which they run. We have managed to do a lot of it ourselves but with myself being crippled with arthritis, my husband cannot do it himself without help. We don’t want to send the cattle back as the owner has no feed available for them.
The fencing is 4 strand barb wire with iron droppers. We have an air operated dropper driver , all materials and posts and the fence line is cleared. It is in hilly country. All accessible to reasonable fit person with fencing skills or able to carry out simple fencing with instruction. We can offer a pop top caravan accommodation and all meals, we are trying to renovate our house on the farm but it is not finished for visitors yet due to drought and lack of money. The property is very pretty , set in a river valley location and we often have campers come and stay on our river campsite or up on the farm , very peaceful with lots of wildlife.
