We have a very big problem which is now more than we can cope with.We are a 62 year old couple with a 860 hectare mixed dry farm of cropping and sheep. 2/3 rds of our farm is leased to another farmer for cropping. We have 300 acres of what should be pasture and timber that has been taken over by a nasty weed. It is a native plant from NSW called black roly poly. Here in Victoria it is an invasive weed. Nothing will eat it and we are at risk of losing our pasture land to it .We have been trying to get rid of it since 2012 but it is ahead of us. We have been spraying, digging and burning but need more manpower. The help we need does not require any special skills. We will be working alongside whoever can help.

We can offer a second spare fully furnished nice home with wood heater and  reverse cycle air conditioning. There are enough beds for 7. I will supply all linen and cooked meals or we can supply the food for you to cook in a fully contained kitchen. The second house is only 1 km from our home on the same property.

To make the trip more worthwhile we would be gracious hosts and like to show you some of the local attractions in our district, one if which is the Yarriambiack silo art trail .Andy is a keen kelpie dog trainer with friendly dogs. He is also a drummer and played in bands.

We live 11 km south from a small town called Hopetoun at a place called Goyura. Hopetoun has a pleasant lake and services like post office, doctor ,hospital and pharmacy.

Our family have moved away to the bigger cities and as my husband has not been well we are finding the farm very difficult.

Hope there is someone in this big land who can help us.
