We have a need for a handyman or woman to assist with farming jobs – rural fence repairs, some cattle work, wood cutting, brush cutting, and rabbit control – gun licence required. We are also in need of a person or persons to build a safe, sturdy verandah and steps for our older style shed which has been neglected for a long time and is now unsafe to use.
If you are interested in a farm stay in exchange for meals and room in sunny Stanthorpe and have a desire to enjoy a great time on a cattle and sheep farm, and taking in the views from Girraween National Park and are willing to add your talents and abilities to assisting us here during your stay, please contact Jacqueline on 0427837153 to let us know your preferred time to stay with us. Your own vehicle would be an advantage but not essential.
Best times to stay would be anywhere from a week to a number of weeks. We have space for your own caravan or an indoor bedroom in the family home. We would appreciate your help with the daily living chores if you prefer to stay in the house as one of the family.
We are 15 minutes from town. The Crisps Bus service runs from the Roma Street Train Station. We are happy to pick you up and get you back there if you require it. We can assist with WiFi.
We look forward to hearing from you. We are in a severe drought so bring water with you if you can please for your personal use. Showers need to be short. For further information please ask when applying.
