Sheep & Cattle Property
We are seeking a reliable, active, outdoor couple with their own van who are interested in an outback caretaking experience.
In the first instance, we will need a couple for 2 weeks from 26 April to 10 May 2021. After this period, we will be seeking to make a 3 month/ medium term arrangement with a caretaker couple. Please make contact to discuss if you are interested in either or both as we can be flexible about dates, responsibilities and experience with regard to the medium term opportunity.
Located a short drive on bitumen to the town of Barcaldine, we have excellent mobile coverage and easy access to everyday services in a friendly community. You will experience the expanse and isolation of living on a working sheep & cattle property, whilst in close proximity to a well serviced tourist hub town.
The annual Barcaldine Tree of Knowledge Festival is from Friday 30 April to Monday 3 May and you would have ample opportunity to attend the various events around the caretaking responsibilities.
We will provide a site for your van, free power & water, access to bathroom & laundry, as well as a weekly retainer to undertake agreed caretaking responsibilities (including tourist camp site maintenance, stock/ water runs, watering the house garden, minor/ light maintenance jobs).
