Donald & Sue Cranney
We are in our 70’s and are feeding cattle in the drought-stricken area of Yelarbon, between Goondiwindi and Yelarbon and approx. 27km from each centre, with bitumen access on one property and mostly bitumen to the other, taking 20 minutes to travel to each town for shopping. We have 2 properties. We live on one and would appreciate a caretaker for the second property.
This position would best suit a couple who have had farm experience and possibly trade experience. The property where we would like the caretaker has a donger for accommodation. There are plenty of spaces to camp near there or on the river, if you had your own caravan.
The other property has a shearer’s quarters which would have to be shared with visitors and with our storage. This building has hot showers and toilets and power. Until it rains we are still feeding and would still appreciate help, from about the middle of September on wards.
