angele van den heuvel
my farm house has a sprawling roof as the house is a weird build/shape. the tile roof is 60+ yrs old and we live in a hailstorm prone area. everytime it hails more tiles crack and the leaks are becoming bothersome to the point of endangering electrics and causing fear of electrical fires etc. also my electricity costs are ridiculously high and i wanted to put up solar but they said the tiles were to old and to heavy for my house.
i want to remove tiles and replace with colourbond to end the cycle of having to replace tiles all the time and repair the plaster/ electrics etc and then one day perhaps get solar. i have used up all the money i was saving to get the roof repaired on fodder for my sheep and horses so now cannot do my roof, even if i could find a roofer to do the job. i am so stressed and depressed that we are in the grips of drought, loosing stock and facing the bittersweet issue of serious ceiling/electrical damage etc if we receive lifegiving rain. i contacted the buy a bale people who suggested you may be able to assist.
i look forward to hearing from you
ps we are about 10km from armidale gpo and i have 2 spare double beds. i am not a great cook but i can put food on the table.
